That 25 paisa nostalgia

Nostalgia, we do often meet this word in our hi ambitious lives. In this era where technology has shaped us to robots and capitalist greeds have made us demons, nostalgia, specially realated to our childhood,at times evolve as a fine silver lining. My endeavour would be to comfort you by broadening that silver lining.

Growing up story

I am a 90's kid, grown up in a bengali middle class family and I am from Calcutta (kolkata, India), the city of joy.

1990's era was probably the last era with all human attributes.you will surely agree to me if I line up following findings...

* Communication wasn't so hiped up, tools were limited but pure. People used to write letters in postcards and inland letters to be in touch.

* People atleast had time talking to each other,in physical. Wheareas technological apps are the only media to socialize nowadays.

*People used to visit their friends and relatives' places to surprise. There was no annoyance atall .surprise visit now has become most unacceptable and unhappy affair.

* In 90's there used to be a considerable amount of grounds for playing games, most of them nowadays have transformed into multistorieds. We only notice a group of teenagers sitting together, looking at none, talking to none and engrossed in one of the popular online games. And the grounds are all empty.

Strange,so strange.

Eternal sweetness.

This is my first blog and the title of it is very significant.25 paisa nostalgia is actually a 25 paisa candy from my childhood days. You can only compare a child's innocence with the sweetness of this candy. That's why this is on top  amongst my nostalgia list.

I hardly could remember my age when I got introduced to it through my uncle. Orange was the flavour , sweet and small in packaging. Good things come in small packages you know !

It used to taste like melted orange in mouth.six to eight were my daily consumption. The test was so ecstatic that it became a must pick in my friends' birthday parties.

There were times when I had to manupulate the groceries in the name of my uncle without thinking about the punishment. My family members were bi-laterally divided about my candy scam.

My father permanently banned my venture,as my gastrointestinal system started revolting. But who cares,it is said that if one door closes.. four opens . So many doors welcomed as usual.

The attraction

The attraction was fatal. It was so that I still do carry that longing inside my heart. My life has crossed many years since childhood. And as usually like any other individual maximum capacity of my brain now has been filled with responsibilities, family issues and various strains of life and livelihood.

Strings attached

Amidst all ills whenever I get little time to relax I like to revisit. Yes,I do revisit my yesteryear memories. Memories which I created unknowingly, memories which I crafted with utmost affection & longing. Memories that sparkled my past and enlighten my present and future.

I will surely leave some assets to the next generation. To that generation where surely technology and science will take over and dominate & human touches and feelings will hardly find some place.

Don't you people agree that  human race is gradually getting transformed into nonsense robot?
